Socks for Veterans

Thank you for remembering Our Veterans at Christmas.

Please note that our church’s guidelines as of 12/2021 are as follows:

1. Masks or other facial coverings are encouraged for all worshippers and folks entering the church who have not received their vaccinations. We can provide a mask if you do not have one. Masks may be removed while in the pews.

2. Hand sanitizer will be provided in the sanctuary aisle. Worshippers are encouraged to bring their own hand sanitizer. Please wash your hands well before leaving your home.

3. Personal greetings should be no-touch greetings with no handshakes or hugs. Please wave to each other. Use the “Thumbs up” sign and similar welcoming gestures.

4. Social distancing guidelines will remain in effect. Please sit only with members of your own household and allow six feet of space between your family and other worshippers both side to side in the pew and front to back between pews. The Ushers will space out worshippers as needed. The Nursery Room will be closed during worship services.

5. The Offering plate will not be passed around in church but will be set on a table in the rear of the sanctuary for anyone to place their offering envelope and checks.

6. Worship Bulletins will be available for following the order of service. Please gently take the one from the top of the stack without touching the one below. Providing bulletins is similar to the concept of restaurants providing single use menus. Worshippers are encouraged to sing as the spirit leads them. The choir is now singing every Sunday!

7. We will serve Communion on the first Sunday of the month with limited contact.

8. The Ushers will open windows prior to worship as weather permits.

9. The ushers will dismiss worshippers row by row to prevent a bottleneck at the back doors. There will be Meet & Greet after worship and before Sunday School Class. Please remember to volunteer a turn as host.

10. After each worship service, commonly touched surfaces such as door handles, pew ends, bathroom counters and sink handles will be cleaned.

11. Individuals with complicating medical conditions are encouraged to remain home. Worshippers who are feeling ill, feverish or are coughing should stay home and watch AUMC online worship as a livestream on Facebook.
