United Methodist Women

The year 2019 was special as we celebrated the 150 year anniversary of the founding of The United Methodist Women of the United Methodist Church. Nationally, over 800,000 women serve in this ministry in support of their local communities. The photos shown are from the Spring Meeting of the Johnstown District on April 25,2019 in our Elliot Hall and was hosted by our own AUMW.

United Methodist Men

Armagh United Methodist Men meet at 8am on the first Saturday of every month for breakfast, devotions and fellowship in Elliot Hall. The AUM Men provide funds for many service projects. Call the Office or This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. for confirmation of their next meeting or to ask about their next service project.
Prayer Requests & Prayer Chain
Church members often bring the needs of other members, friends and family to God. To ensure privacy in this age of social media, Armagh UMC will not publish Prayer Lists on our web site. We have a chain of volunteers who will call, text, or email around the Prayer List until all members are aware of that special need and seek God to intervene, heal and sustain the individual and their family.

Please call the Office with your Prayer Request or This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. . Your prayer need will be given to the Prayer Coordinator who will pass it through our prayer chain.
Prayer Shawl
"What is a prayer shawl? It is a shawl that has been made with love and prayers for the one to receive it. The shawl is then consecrated to the Lord and that declares it sacred! It is to bring comfort to the one wearing it. It is a gift of feeling wrapped in the arms of God and comforted by the Holy Spirit. Over the centuries, shawls have come to symbolize shelter, peace, and spiritual sustenance.”

Several members of our church make knitted or crocheted prayer shawls. The shawls are then spread across the altar rail in the Sanctuary and are Blessed to God during the Worship Service. The shawls are given to anyone who needs one: someone who is sick, someone who is grieving, someone who is struggling, a new mom, a newborn baby and for many other needs.
There are several ways to help with this ministry.
• Join us in making the shawls. If you would like to learn how to make the shawls, please see Chris Patterson. Or click here to Volunteer with us.
• Donate money or purchase gift cards to Joann Fabrics or Michael’s that will be used to purchase yarn. Mail your check or gift card to our Church Office. Or click here for Giving Options.
• Request a shawl for someone in need. Or This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. .

Spaghetti Dinners are CANCELLED until further Notice!
We minister to the local community on the fourth Tuesday of the month by hosting a Spaghetti Dinner from 5-7pm. We only ask for $2 for each meal, which includes the spaghetti & meatballs, bread, salad, dessert and a beverage choice. We have fun and fellowship cooking in the kitchen, serving meals and even cleaning up! All are WELCOME. Quite a few folks in the community who are not members of AUMC join in to help and are some of our hardest and most joyful participants! We feel BLESSED as it's a true community effort. Come, eat and see for yourself!
